Melissa sent me a little background on 'Jack'....it is such a beautiful story.....

"I got Jack from Whippet Rescue and Placement when he was about a year old.  He was very shy and unsocialized, and since I had another whippet who was the exact opposite and went everywhere with me , the rescuer/foster mom thought I would be a good match to help bring Jack out of his shell.

We started obedience right away and he got his Canine Good Citizenship after a few tries (he had a hard time being left with a stranger part of the test).

He'll be 4 next month  and has turned into the best little dog.  He is still a little shy with strangers at first, but no longer keeps his tail constantly tucked.  He is even comfortable enough to get into trouble around the house and not worry, like he used to, that I'm going to return him.

He has made great strides and is the best match for our little family."
