Unfortunately I have been unable to locate the contact details of the lovely lady that commissioned me to do this pet portrait of her daughter's horse, hence I have not been able to collect a testimonial from her for my website.  However, I can say that when she came to collect her pet portrait of their elderly buckskin her hand flew up over her mouth.  Initially I thought 'Oh no! She hates it', then I saw that she had tears welling in her eyes.  She said "I knew that it would look like him, but this is unbelievable".  Then she hugged me!!!  Needless to say, this ladies response when viewing her pet portrait for the first time is my favorite to date!

This piece was commissioned as a gift for a mature gentleman's birthday. I contacted Angela to see how the drawing was received, and she said "He was overwhelmed!  He cried when he saw it, and we all said "it is not supposed to make you cry!" and that the gentleman kept 'patting' the glass of the frame throughout the evening. Angela also advised that the gentleman  arranged for a family member to come over to his bungalow at 7am the following morning to have the drawing mounted in pride of place over the mantle piece!

"We were sitting in the living room at Michelle's and Stuart asked her for the package.  We then gave Michelle the tube containing Wally's pet portrait to her and asked her to open it.  It wasn't until she started to remove the drawing from the tube and Michelle saw the colour that she realised it was Wally.  As she took it out and spread it on the floor, she burst into tears.  Morris (her fiancé) has not seen Wally and Michelle was so excited that she could finally show him exactly what her horse looked like.  Considering she has lived in Canada for seven years now, returning home only once a year, it was a very emotional time for her.  She could not believe the likeness of dear old Wally and the colouring is perfect.  She is very aware that her 35 plus year old horse is not for much longer and has long wanted to have something to remember him by.  Thanks to your expertise, she now has it.  I think she intends to drop you a note if she has not already done so.

Jessie had been with us for 10 years and the grief, pain and sadness we felt I cannot explain. This was a very special gift for my partners birthday, Jessie was his best girl and best friend. When I first saw the finished piece it brought tears to my eyes and warmth to my heart, when Mark opened his gift he had the same re-action, firstly he couldn't believe that it was a pencil drawing as it is so life like, it was just as if she was looking at us. Jessie's portrait hangs in pride and place in our home, she is the first thing we see in the morning and the last thing we see at night.  Leanne I can't thankyou enough you are truly a very talented lady, the portrait far exceeded my expectations and it has  helped us through a very sad time.

"After my husband losing his best friend Kippa in tragic circumstances I commissioned Leanne to do a portrait of Kippa.  My husband was devastated with her loss and he felt that no matter what he did in his day to day life he felt lost as his beloved friend and companion was not right beside him with every move he made.  Kippa never left his side and always greeted him everyday when he arrived home they always had their bonding time as soon as he arrived.  I wanted to give him something special for his birthday so after viewing Leanne's incredible portraits I knew then what it had to be.  We had plenty of photos of Kippa but nothing could capture what Leanne captured in her portrait.    Kippa's eyes were gentle but yet she was thinking all the time what adventure and excitement she would go on today with her master.  When I first saw the portrait I sat and cried as I could see right into Kippa's eyes where her heart and soul was.  I have never felt the emotion I felt that day.  When I was finally able to give my husband his birthday present his first reaction was he looked at me, then at the portrait, then back at me - his eyes filled with tears and he said "that's my girl".  He was lost for words and very emotional, he was completely blown away by how Leanne captured the look in her eyes as he said "I feel her looking into me with her heart and soul like she always did.  I miss her so much".  He couldn't believe it was actually a pencil drawing.  Leanne we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Kippa's portrait will hang where we can greet her every day and say goodnight to her every night.  You are an unbelievably talented woman, and to touch people's hearts the way you do it is the most amazing thing anyone could ever do.  Your talent is a gift, please don't ever stop.  I will definitely be back for more portraits.  Thank you - a huge hug to you."  Karen & Tony Fenwick

"WOW!!!  Leanne you are a very talented lady!!!  One in a million!!!  You have without a doubt portrayed the essence of Kim, her cheeky character, the scruffy muff look that she wears.  This may sound silly to some, but the portrait is so life like I can feel Kim's presence, to the point to the point where I am expecting her to give a gruff or kisses.  She was in a real scaly wag of a mood when the photo was taken, Leanne you have captured her beautifully.
